The organization has delivered the contribution of food collected
Once again El Mirador Shopping Center has collaborated as a promoter of the IV Minibasket Tournament together with the Club Herbalife Gran Canaria. The sporting event, which began last Thursday, April 26, has involved the participation of more than 400 children from the schools of the Gran Canaria Basketball Club. Values such as healthy sport, companionship and teamwork have been fostered throughout these days.
In the presentation of the initiative, Lorenzo Esma, manager of the shopping center, pointed out that "it is a pleasure to organize this tournament again, which has given us such good results these years ago". In this sense, Juanmi Morales, director of the club's quarry, was also grateful to the shopping center for the facilities and the help that it brings to the event. In addition, the homegrown Khalifa Diop and Javi Lopez, members of the EBA League team, were present at the event and then had fun with the boys and girls of the tournament. Throughout the dispute, a playful Zonabasket was installed with fun for everyone.
Be that as it may, one of the most important aspects of this tournament is its solidary nature. The participants of the same have made donations of food throughout these days. Products that have already been delivered to the Obra Social de acogida y desarrollo de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, on behalf of the CC El Mirador and the Club Herbalife Gran Canaria. A non-profit association that carries out recovery, training and employment for homeless people. It has a training center, workshops on agriculture, carpentry and decoration -among others- as well as solidarity stores.
